Graduated in Veterinary Medicine by the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV), Master’s degree in Veterinary Medicine by the Federal University of Minas Gerais and PhD in Animal Science by the Federal University of Viçosa. He is a researcher at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (EMBRAPA) and a permanent professor at the Graduate Program in Veterinary Medicine at the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV). He works in the area of Veterinary Medicine, with emphasis on Assisted Reproduction in Small ruminants: control of the estrous cycle, ovulation and superovulation; artificial insemination; diagnosis and treatment of reproductive disorders; embryo collection, cryopreservation, and transfer. He also works in the area of technology transfer, organization of events and support for the development of goat and sheep farming in Brazil, Latin America and Africa.
