She holds an undergraduate degree in Veterinary Medicine by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul – UFRGS, and a master’s and doctor’s degree by the Graduate Program in Veterinary Sciences (UFRGS), developing research activities at the Veterinary Virology Laboratory and at the Veterinary Epidemiology Laboratory (Epilab) of the Veterinary School of UFRGS. She is currently an adjunct professor at the Department of Veterinary Medicine (DVT) of the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV) in the area of poultry and swine health, and coordinator of the Poultry and Swine Health Laboratory of DVT.
